The scary part is that you are better off paying the money somehow. These stupid things have a way of showing up on a credit report (two or three years later), because some idiot company got a hold of someone's accounts receivables.

Don't call me crazy, but for $100 I would put it to rest. However, if I owed a few thousand due to an InstaCash that was no good, then I might be inclined to monitor the situation a bit.

Yeah, that's the shame of it--if you don't pony up the c-note Neteller can report you to a credit bureau. You should call them and tell them that you *really* want to pay them but you're having trouble finding an EFT processor and it'll probably be six to eight weeks or more....

Haha. Go down the list of options they gave you for sending money and respond with a reason that they have given for why they can't let people withdraw with that option. If they have any questions direct them to your VIP phone line where they most likely will have to wait a long time to talk to someone, that is if they don't get a recording saying way too many people are calling in so we can't take your call now.

Neteller bah.

..or you could stop laughing and try to pay the money that you rightfully owe.

People rationalize thievery in the most interesting of ways these days.

When I was young and stupid I stiffed an offshore site (around 1996 or so). It was not intentional at the time either, I had a bank account I needed to close for another reason, then I found out the debit card I made my deposit with was never charged. The site called to collect and I rationalized it and ignored them.
I ended up having my poker account frozen at a site in 2004, I found out that it was because I was blacklisted because of this transaction in 1996 at another site.
I then was declined for a FirePay account because they blacklisted me also.

Perhaps NETeller comes back into the market someday and is the primary method sites accept again.
Not only is not paying stealing, but it might also haunt you.
I tried paying my debt to this offshore now and they don't even want it, nor do they want my business (10-11 years later).

thanks for the input. I did not think about the credit aspect. I will give them a call. It wasn't so much stiffing them as it is anger to the entire sitaution.

I just called and from that list the only option to get them the c note is money order. The guy was nice and said just take off the cost of the money order.

I wasn't trying to rationalize the guy not paying the money he owes, but its funny that Neteller doesn't want to live by the same timeframes that they expect US clients to...

I do agree that it would be funny to tell them that your experiancing a high volume of collections right now and it might take 6-8 weeks because your payment processors have cut you off.

It is in your financial best interest to settle this and pay the $100. Not even close. I've been there and done that. Protect yourself by paying the $100. You won't ever have to worry about it again. It is even the selfish thing to do..because it is good for you.

Totally agree. Not to have to worry about this is worth the $100. Where all of this craziness will end up is anyone's guess. I will pay the money close all my accounts and pick up a new hobby....maybe needlepoint..:toast:
